A straightforward, fully paved drive from Liberia Airport to Coco Sunset Hills. We recommend using Waze or Google Maps for the easiest turn-by-turn arrival.
Exit Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) and turn right onto Route 21.
Continue on Route 21 for approximately 18 km (11 miles) until you reach the Comunidad intersection.
Turn right, following the signs for Playas del Coco. The Route 151 sign may not be immediately obvious, but the Playas del Coco directional signs are clearly marked.
Continue approximately 13 km (8 miles) into Playas del Coco.
As you approach the beach area, take the last major right turn before reaching the beach. As of June 2026, there is a Mexican restaurant on the corner. This road climbs gently uphill toward the Las Palmas and Coco Sunset Hills area.
Continue uphill past Pueblito Sur, a popular shopping and dining plaza on your right.
At the next major intersection, you'll see that continuing left leads toward the beach, while turning right leads uphill toward Coco Sunset Hills. Turn right.
Continue a short distance to the Coco Sunset Hills gated entrance.
Guests may briefly stop along the street to unload luggage or park in the lower gated parking area located before the guard shack.
From the lower parking area, follow the pedestrian walkway that runs parallel to the street. You'll pass the nearby community pool, and Unit #50 will be on your left. The walk from the parking area to the condo is approximately 2 minutes.
